Jan Hatzius was on Bloomberg yesterday to discuss the state of the US housing market and the impacts from the Japanese crisis. Hatzius is becoming increasingly optimistic about the state of the US housing market. He says prices could decline 5% in 2011, but are likely close to bottoming. With regards to Japan Hatzius believes the impact should be relatively muted.
