Agree that the strict definition of ‘investment’ is (mostly) technically just a reallocation of savings. But what about leverage in a portfolio? Clearly not a reallocation of savings, but not sure it meets the true definition of an investment either..

    Why would leverage be investment? If I leverage my brokerage portfolio I am just multiplying the impact of my portfolio. I am not magnifying the dollars that actually generate the ROI on that portfolio….
